UNIDO National Coordinator on RECP in Armenia Conducts Field visits to Green club member companies in Dilijan for RECP rapid assessment: Dilijan resort

RECP National coordinator Nune Harutyunyan, together with the RECP team visited the Dilijan resort hotel for conducting RECP rapid assessment on 2nd of December 2015. Dilijan resort has been actively participating in the Green clubs of Dilijan, and in accordance to preliminary agreement, suggested a filed visit to the venue, namely to the laundry, craftsman shop and to the bakery of the resort. Ms. Harutyunyan has discussed the laundry cleaning process and energy use, chemical use and wastewater treatment within the laundry, as well as lighting and challenges faced by laundry workers.

NPC Ms. Harutyunyan has interviewed the laundry and bakery workers, and identified potential improvement opportunities in terms of improved production, cleaning service, use of electricity, reduction of costs of water and energy, as well as the workforce. Ms. Harutyunyan will be developing options for RECP as a rapid assessment for Dilijan resort. Options will be clarified and presented to the management of the company.
