Announcement on Specialized Training for Professionals on “CIRCULAR ECONOMY PRACTICES” within the European Union-funded EU4Environment Action
EU4Environment supports the instruction of professionals and entrepreneurs on the practices of Circular Economy by hosting an online specialized training in Armenia. Led by UNIDO, the training is divided into two parts (organized on different dates) and will focus on harnessing circular economy principles and systems-based approaches to explore ways in which entrepreneurs and professionals can redesign their business systems, products, and services to encourage the transition from a linear to a circular economy
RECP team working with cheese producers in Vayots Dzor and Syunik Regions, Armenia
On 03 and 04 of August 2021 the EU4Environment RECP project team visited “Erpin” Agricultural Cooperative, located in Yelpin community of Vayots Dzor region and “Sis Alp” LLC in Sisian community of Syunik region of Armenia. The visits were conducted in the frame of currently going through RECP assessment cycle within EU4Environment RECP programme.

One of the goals of the EU4Environment Regional Programme Resource Efficient and Cleaner Production Project in Armenia is the optimization of productive use of natural resources (materials, water and energy), and minimization of the adverse impact of production systems on environment and nature through reduction of wastes and emissions.
Internal Regional Meeting with RECP experts
On the 7 of July 2021, the Regional Environmental Centre for the Caucasus ABO participated in the internal Regional Meeting with RECP experts under the EU4Environment Action. The online event provided an opportunity to share knowledge, exchange views, and improve the implementation of RECP related activities.

Information Meeting on Progress on RECP Component under the EU4Environment Action in Armenia
The Information Meeting took place on 30th of April in Yerevan․ The meeting aimed to present the main objectives and progress to date of the RECP project and receive recommendations on partnering possibilities with other initiatives and stakeholder organizations. It has also demonstrated the potential use and application of RECP methodology in food, agriculture (included fish farming), metal, wood, construction materials, chemical, textile, and other industries in Armenia. The EU funded “European Union for Environment” (EU4Environment) programme is organizing Training on gender sensitization to be carried out by UNIDO and National Implementing Partner in Armenia, Regional Environmental Centre for the Caucasus as a part of its work on Resource Efficient and Cleaner Production (RECP) and Circular Economy. Training is aimed to enable local stakeholders and experts with gender mainstreaming skills, in line with the mandate of UNIDO to support sustainable industrial production and development eliminating social and economic inequalities between women and men.

EU4Environment RECP project team has visited “SevanAqua” (CJSC) on August 25, 2020. “Sevan Aqua” CJSC was founded in 2014 within the framework of the complex “Recovery of trout stocks and fish breeding in Lake Sevan” programme.
